How to Avoid Crypto Scams
Common crypto scams and the simple habits that protect you, from fake support to giveaway fraud.
Never share your seed phrase
No genuine exchange, wallet or support agent will ask for your seed phrase or private key. Anyone who does is trying to steal your funds.
Be suspicious of guaranteed returns
Promises of guaranteed profit, double-your-money giveaways and very high fixed yields are classic warning signs. If it sounds too good to be true, it almost certainly is.
Check links and sender
Phishing sites copy real brands. Type addresses yourself or use bookmarks, double-check the domain, and be careful with links sent by direct message, even from people you know.
Protect your accounts
Use a unique password, turn on two-factor authentication, and keep large long-term holdings in a wallet where you control the keys. If something goes wrong, act quickly and contact the real platform through its official channels.
